Jocelyn Cartier, CCR, ACA

Client Care Representative/Animal Care Assistant

Hi my name is Jocelyn Cartier, I am a receptionist/ Veterinary Assistant at Hillcrest and currently in school to become a Veterinary Technician. If you were to get to know me, you would know that I’m crazy about my aussie mixes and have a weak spot for border collies. I am a very goofy person that loves to spoil her colleagues with baked goods and beam when I get told they are delicious.

I chose this field and continue to do so because it is nothing but exceptional. Being able to be with the animals and gain their trust is very rewarding but seeing them grow up is something completely different. In some ways we really get to know the animals and their owners, it’s a connection that makes it all very rewarding.

To get to where I am today I took the Veterinary Assistant program at Georgian College in Orillia and graduated in 2017. I am now attending St. Lawrence College in Kingston for the Veterinary Technician program and in three years’ time hopefully I will be writing another bio as a full-time technician.

Hillcrest Animal Hospital has become my family. I enjoy coming in after school to tell everyone about my week and miss everyone when I have to miss my shift because of tests and quizzes. I’m so thankful that I decided to join the Hillcrest team.
