Overweight Cat Help

Obesity in cats is becoming on overwhelming issues and can play a large role in shortening the life of your cat. It is an extremely serious condition that can lead to all kinds of health disorders such as diabetes, urinary tract disorders, hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) and even nonallergic skin conditions. Maintaining a healthy weight in your cat is very important in helping your pet live a long and healthy life.

How do I know if my cat is fat?

To determine if your cat is overweight, it should be examined by a veterinarian where they assess your cat’s weight to a body score chart and a feeding guideline can be determined for your pet’s specific needs.

How can my cat lose weight? Any weight loss tips?

Our technicians at Hillcrest offer a free nutritional consult during which a weight loss program can be individually set up to your pet’s specific needs. Contact the clinic today to set up an appointment.

What is offered in nutritional consultation?

We offer any client that is interested in a full nutritional consult with one of our technicians or our food advocate where they can discuss all your pet’s food needs and requirements.
