Pucks4Pawz Deux!

January 25th is “The Day”!

We are very proud to once again organize “Pucks4Pawz” with our amazing partners The Belleville Bulls! This year “Pucks4Pawz” will benefit a wonderful local organization called Fixed Fur Life. These folks help people in the Quinte West area on limited incomes deal with veterinary bills associated with spaying and neutering their pets as well as helping with stray animals. This is an amazing local charity run by some caring, compassionate people who have helped a HUGE amount of people in our area. Please visit their website and see for yourself!

This game will mark the return of the much-loved (we miss you Brendan!) ex-captain of the Bulls, Brendan Gaunce! Brendan now plays for the Erie Otters as he has been given the chance to make a run for the Memorial Cup with the Otters this year. Not only will we get to see Brendan again, but attendees will get to see the phenomenal Connor McDavid play. Connor is a tremendously talented young man and has been garnering the same praise and attention once attributed to players like Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby. Yes, he really is that good!

There will be home-made lemonade available for purchase at a stand brought in by Dr. Kristina Bennett and the great folks at Foster Park Animal Hospital, as well as colourful “Fixed Fur Life” bracelets available from us. Lisa-Marie Guernon of Muzzles and Snouts will be arranging a dog search exercise between periods on the ice! It is fascinating to watch these dogs work.

Partnering with the Bulls we will have a number of fund-raising efforts at the game. These will include; “chuck-a-puck”, Hill’s “dog food bag curling”, silent auction tables, a jersey auction, as well as signed pictures of Bulls players with some adoptable pets will be up for auction/sale. So make sure to bring lots of extra money to contribute to Fixed Fur Life! Last year’s Pucks4Pawz event was a roaring success as we managed to raise over $4,000 for the Quinte Humane Society! Let’s try to do even better this year! Please!

The Bulls have been pre-selling tickets to this game ever since the season schedule was set in September… get your tickets now folks or you may end up very disappointed! We are looking forward to seeing you there and helping to raise money for Fixed Fur Life.
