Rebecca Asselin, RVT
From a young age, Rebecca always knew she would work with animals. So she attended St. Lawrence College and graduated with an advanced diploma in veterinary technology. Rebecca enjoyed placements at Queens University in the department of biomedical neurosciences and at the Toronto veterinary emergency clinic. Rebecca joined the Hillcrest Animal Hospital team in 2020 after working as an RVT for 5 years in the Toronto area. She has a passion for small animal behaviour, rehabilitation and helping clients enhance the human-animal bond.
Rebecca is the mother of four lovely fur children. Inuk, a Pomeranian she adopted during her time at St Lawrence College. Hope, a lovely little cat she raised from 1 week of age. Todd a very energetic Pembroke welsh corgi, and her newest member Pippa another sweet Pembroke Welsh Corgi. In her spare time, Rebecca loves hiking with her dogs, training her dogs in flyball, agility and anything fast, and spending time with her family.
