QW Emerg

Plans are underway to develop our own after hours emergency facility here in the Quinte area!

It has been many years in development but area veterinarians and the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital are expanding and finally opening an emergency facility in Quinte West. Current plans are to have it up and running before Christmas, but that may yet change.

This will bring the best after hours emergency care a lot closer to home for our clients. The facility will initially be set up to deal with “minor” emergencies, and will likely have a service in place to transport serious cases directly to KRPH for more in depth care. The hope is that within a short period of time the facility will be busy enough to warrant expansion into the same type of facility as the one that currently exists in Kingston.

As of October 11th, the lease has been signed and the emergency facility will be built in the Prince Edward Plaza located just south of the Bay Bridge. This area is easily accessible either by the 401 or the #2 Highways for clients in this area. It is also easily accessible for clients of the county veterinarians.
